  • Maloca is a multiverse platform that expands access to COP30 and other climate change events. It hosts immersive virtual rooms where governments and organizations, whether present or not at the Belém conference, can give presentations—anyone can participate by simply accessing Maloca (via website or app) and creating an avatar. Events can be translated using AI into over 50 languages. Another advantage of Maloca is that participants can interact with each other before, during, or after the events.

  • Yes! Events hosted at Maloca can be held in any language, but the Route to Belem will offer AI-powered simultaneous translation for seven languages ​​(Portuguese, Arabic, Chinese, Spanish, French, English, and Russian). Event organizers can also offer simultaneous translation for other languages, provided they cover their own costs. The Route to Belem is working with partners to offer translation for other languages, enabling even more inclusive interactions.

    Test events have already been held in Portuguese, English, Spanish and French.

  • All events follow the UNFCCC Code of Conduct: 

    • 1st violation: Formal warning and temporary restrictions   

    • Recidivism: Temporary suspension   

    • Serious misconduct: Permanent removal and possible notification to authorities

  •  Events may last between 30 and 120 minutes, remembering that at the end of the period the events will be automatically cut off so that the next one can begin.

    During testing at Maloca Maloca we found that the most effective meetings lasted between 30 and 90 minutes.

    Maloca offers spaces that can accommodate from 20 to 1,000 participants, allowing for flexibility in hosting different event formats, such as panels, seminars, and large events.
