Frequently asked questions about the maloca

Maloca is a multiverse platform that expands access to COP30 and other climate change events. It hosts immersive virtual rooms where governments and organizations, whether or not they are present at the Belém conference, can make presentations – which anyone can participate in, simply by accessing Maloca (via website or app) and creating an avatar. Events can be translated by AI into more than 50 languages. Another advantage of Maloca is that participants can interact with each other before, during, or after the events.

Simply access the platform (via website or app) and create your avatar. Consult our guide with a complete step-by-step process: User Manual .

Yes! Events offered at Maloca can be held in any language; however, the Route to Belem will offer simultaneous AI translation for 7 languages (Portuguese, Arabic, Chinese, Spanish, French, English, and Russian). Event organizers may also offer simultaneous translation into other languages, provided they can cover their own costs. The Route to Belem is working with partners to offer translation into other languages, allowing for even more inclusive interactions.
Test events have already been conducted in Portuguese, English, Spanish, and French.
